BCCF creates stability & resiliency through intervention of financial assistance in conjunction with supporting households working towards greater financial stability. Individuals that live and/or work in Blaine County, regardless of citizenship status, can apply for emergency rental assistance, 1st/last/deposit assistance, emergency housing assistance, gas/grocery cards, and other rapid relief funds to address an unforeseen critical needs.

Housing Stability Assistance
BCCF makes grants to individuals who live and/or work in Blaine County, regardless of citizenship status. BCCF’s focus is primarily, but not exclusively, on housing, utilities, transportation, and access to health care during unanticipated crises. BCCF’s objectives are to provide quality assistance programs that bring stability to households, promote equitable access to resources, and strengthen clients’ ability to move through and past crises. Housing Stability Assistance programs include emergency rent assistance, move-in assistance, and mediated eviction prevention intervention.
Gap Assistance
BCCF has identified two areas to provide gap assistance that can enable a family to move foward to better long term stability. This includes childcare asisstance and downpayment assistance. Childcare is the next biggest expense for households after rent, and can be a barrier to stable employment. BCCF can provide up to 12-months of asisstance, with priority for households with high childcare costs or those entering the workforce. Downpayment assistance can provide a one-time grant towards closing costs for essential workers.
Rapid Relief
This program addresses other unanticipated emergency needs, including but not limited to: expenses related to health, ability to work, and maintaining a safe living environment. BCCF aids in transitional housing costs for the most vulnerable households experiencing homelessness during the coldest winter months.
